Course Tutor Lance Tilley

I am an established independent Social Support trainer and training consultant. I have had extensive experience as a Senior Social Worker for an Inner London Local Authority as well as providing specialised training for carers (Shared Lives) mainly in the field of Learning Disabilities. I have been providing In House training for many years to staff teams as well as user groups. Most importantly, the majority of the courses I facilitate are designed to meet the requirements of the CQC regulations. I am also able to offer specialised training in other areas which includes Health and Safety and Medication Awareness .

In House training is a convenient and economical way to ensure your staff receive appropriate training in your venue or a venue of your choice with colleagues that they will feel comfortable learning with and most importantly, the training will be designed to focus specifically on the work that they do. This is an obvious advantage over public courses which can be too often generalised and non-specific which sometimes makes it difficult for people to relate the training to their own working experience.

The result of this In House approach will mean service users will be supported by people who have been trained to meet their specific needs which enhances how they experience being supported in their everyday lives.

I am London based and more than happy to arrange to meet you to discuss your specific training needs. With an extensive background in residential care and other social support options. I will be able to design a programme of courses which will provide the necessary skills that your staff team will need in order to meet the needs of the service users they support.

Good empathic training conducted in an atmosphere of good humour and respect will go a long way to making your staff feel valued and will of course help them in providing evidence of training which may support CIS/QCF training modules.

All courses will be certificated with a full break-down of all the main elements covered in the training noted. Course profiles can be supplied pre-training. Full and comprehensive feedback post training is all inclusive.

It has been said that I have a warm and interactive training style. I am passionately committed to promoting high standards of care and support for people with Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health needs and Older persons and this is reflected in the way in which I deliver training.
